I need to experiment with website layout and posts. As a first post, why not insects?
Insects are a fun subject to photograph. These pictures were all taken with a fairly new camera setup, and I did not have a proper macro lens, but I was able to get some decent results regardless.
Dragonflies are one of my favorite insects to watch. We have frequent dragonfly visitors in the summer and when the migratory groups come through Wisconsin.
The mountain mint we planted in our backyard attracts all kinds of insects during the summer. We’ve had great golden digger wasps over the last two years.
Bumblebees also love the mountain mint
Moths also like to visit the garden
Bald Faced Hornets are also in the area.
